Do you know what a cure shadow is, what a season rooster is? Alfi, a picture of a man, over-elegant, flower in the buttonhole, suit a little too tight around the athletic figure, pinstripes, a little too accentuated, knows a song about what the ladies imagine a cure shadow to be and what they expect from it. And Alfi makes a good living out of that. But such a summer is beyond the potency of the most trained man and so he has to hire an Italian substitute. It is easy to imagine that it goes up and down, of course. Upper Bavaria, the land of happy cows, seasoned men and buxom girls is a wonderful backdrop for this film. As I said, you will laugh tears.
