Insomnia

Piper Valentine lost everything. Her husband cheated on her, her company went bankrupt, and without both, all sense of self and the life she had was lost. Leaving everything behind, she takes to the streets and develops insomnia, her life turns into a waking dream. Endless driving, shabby motels and chance encounters become the norm, while one day blurs into the next. When she meets Terry, something changes. He is sweet, and the sex has a tenderness she has never experienced in a one-night stand. Eventually she finds out he's a drug dealer and agrees to run an errand for him. When she arrives at her destination, she immediately realizes that it is a meth lab, and after spending the night with cooks Phil and Faith, she wakes up and finds herself stranded. When she doesn't return that morning, Terry and his business partner January run off to find her, and although January thinks Piper is better off dead, Terry gives her a handful of money and maybe just a way to stop running away from herself.
