Crucifixion - crucifixion - was not a method of execution at the time of witchcraft in the Middle Ages, but a special kind of corporal punishment for special crimes, including witchcraft and fornication. Often the punished women hung naked on the crossbeam for hours, where they were exposed to all kinds of mockery and malice. Not only that, they were also beaten and tortured until their debts were considered paid. In this film you see the tender Romina exposed to the crucifixion. Smeared with dirt, whipped and tormented with thorns, she suffered until she pissed herself over her thighs. But before she hangs on the cross, she has already had to endure many other kinds of witch torture: One makes her flicker over flames while a heavy iron ball hangs from her feet. Tied to a ladder, the torturers tickle her squirming witch's body from both sides with the flames of small torches... Will she confess her guilt?
